War is theater. I don’t mean that in the sense of comedic timing or sets or lights or any of the technical shit. When I say war is theater I mean war is pain. War is trials and tribulation. War is waiting. I haven’t even been deployed yet but I can’t wait. I know it might not make sense to you why it is so difficult for me to just sit here on my ass and wait to go to Afghanistan but let me put it in terms you might understand. Imagine putting on a play. A play you have been constantly rehearsing for months. You know your blocking, your lines your choreography. You know what to say and when to say it. You know what to shoot and when to shoot it. You know how to perform you know how to kill. It’s a production you have been practicing for so long that even in your deepest unconsciousness you can lay there and still know exactly what needs to be done. After rehearsing for so long, nothing changes everything remains constant and consistent. That is what war is for me. Every day 5 days a week I get up and train and train and train my ass off wondering when is my opening day. When do I get to fight for my America
